Stand by me

I don’t believe children that scream they want to grow up faster. There isn’t a better time in our lives than childhood.
When I was 14 I saw Stand by me, the movie. It’s based on a novella by Stephen King named The Body. I really like Stephen King and have been reading him for a while, the movie also has River Phoenix in it’s cast, one of the best actors that I’ve ever seen, unfortunately dead of a drug overdose too soon; special appearence, Vern’s character is actually a chubby Jerry O’Connell!
The movie is this strange mix of friendship depiction, a bit of horror, coming-of-age recollection, and the song by Ben E. King is moving. A really endearing movie.
